IWeb is Apple's entry in the publishing of web sites. One
element of the iLife software suite, which is designed for ease of use,
and allows users to create a professional, graphic-intensive Web
without having to know HTML code and write the language in which web
pages are written . You can create and publish a Web site without having to see or edit the code. However,
there are times when even a casual user wants the ability to edit HTML
files - for example, adding keywords or meta tags to optimize a website
for search engines. You can edit these files with a text editor third.

1. Download and install TextWrangler from the App Store (App Store) Mac TextWrangler is a free text editor that is more robust and powerful than the built-in Apple TextEdit. To find it, open the App Store (from the Applications folder) and type "TextWrangler" in the search box in the top right. Click the "Install" button to install.
2. Open iWeb. Create your website using its built-in tools. When you're satisfied, save the page.
3.Click in the "Site" in the right window of iWeb. This opens the publishing site settings.
4.Select "Local Folder" from the drop down menu "Post". Click "Select" in the Windows folder location, and select a folder of your site.
5.Post your site by clicking on the "Publish Site" (a green arrow pointing up) in the bottom of the iWeb window. IWeb will create the necessary folders and publish the site code for these folders.
6.Open a browser window and browse the folders you selected. Right click on the HTML file of the page you want to edit ("example.html", for example) and select "Open With TextWrangler".
7.Add keywords, meta tags and other SEO tools you want in the HTML code. Meta tags should be placed between the and, and shape. These keywords and other meta tags like author and content, are used by Google and other search engines to index and list your website.
8.Save the file when done. The new HTML file reflects the changes and will be posted on your Web server.
